Former Robertsdale High School standout Chelisa Newsome and the Auburn Montgomery Warhawks dropped a close 4-3 decision to the Lee Lady Flames in their NCAA Division II softball game Saturday, Feb. 28, at 3 p.m.
Stanley Butler Softball Field hosted the teams for their third meeting this season. Earlier on Saturday, Feb. 28, the Warhawks had secured a 13-4 win against the Lady Flames.
Newsome pitched 2.2 innings, giving up one earned run, walking two and striking out two batters.
The Warhawks are set to play again Wednesday, March 4, at 2 p.m., facing the Spring Hill Badgers at AUM Softball Complex.
