Tuition for Alabama residents attending Coastal Alabama Community College rose by 1.2% for the 2022-23 school year, based on the latest figures released, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.

Alabama residents paid $4,920 to attend the two-year public college this year, which is $60 higher than the $4,860 charged during the 2021-22 academic year.

Non-resident students faced tuition costs 76.2% higher than those for in-state students in 2022-23, amounting to $8,670. This represents a 2% decrease from the $8,850 charged in the previous year.

Approximately 90% of the undergraduate student body at the college are Alabama residents, while about 8% come from other states.

Data indicates that 88% of full-time undergraduates who began their studies at Coastal Alabama Community College in 2022-23 received some form of student financial aid. A total of 846 students obtained grants or scholarships worth $6.1 million, and 584 students borrowed over $2.5 million in student loans.

Across the entire undergraduate population, 2,994 students benefited from grants or scholarships totaling $17.8 million. Additionally, 2,113 students secured $11.2 million in federal student loans.
