In an effort to eliminate impacts to school traffic, the East Canal Road widening contractor will be installing four drainage crossings in the area of construction on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during the week of Thanksgiving – Nov. 21-23.
This construction will result in a reduction to single-lane traffic between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on those three days. The Orange Beach Police Department will have an officer on duty at the SR161-Canal Road intersection in order to keep traffic moving during those times.
Please pardon our progress and add some extra travel time if you’re planning to be on East Canal Road on Nov. 21-23.
