FOLEY CITY: Summer Camps at Graham Creek Nature Preserve

Foley city issued the following announcement on March 2.

Survival Skills Summer Camp (see flyer)

Park staff trained in wilderness survival techniques will teach campers some sweet skills such as: knot tying, drinking water collection, water purification, shelter building and much more.

Explorers (K through 3rd Grade)

June 15th-19th 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Pioneers (4th though 8th grades)

June 8th-12th 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Registration deadline is May 11th

Cost: Explorers $75, Pioneers $100

Natural Science Camp (see flyer)

Learn about the natural processes and biological interactions that make Graham Creek Nature Preserve unique. Topics include: water quality, forestry, wetland ecology, mapping and culture & heritage.

Explorers (K though 3rd grade)

July 13th-17th 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Pioneers (4th though 8th grades)

July 6th-10th 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Registration deadline is June 8th
