Graduates earn 70 degrees from the United States Sports Academy

About 84.3 percent of the 70 degrees and certificates handed out by the United States Sports Academy in 2017-18 were to students in parks, recreation, leisure, and fitness studies programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Daphne conferred 26 master's degrees and 19 doctor's degrees in parks, recreation, leisure, and fitness studies programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in sport and fitness administration/management. Data shows the school gave out 20 master's degrees in sport and fitness administration/management, followed by 19 doctor's degrees in sport and fitness administration/management and 7 bachelor's degrees in kinesiology and exercise science.

The academy enrolled 546 students for 2017-18, including 305 in undergraduate programs and 241 in graduate programs.
