Fuller Brown to judge Art in the Park art show

There is $2,800.00 cash given out in show awards at the Art in the Park art show. The Best of Show award for the overall winner, receives $1,000.00.  Fuller Brown has agreed to judge the show.

Fulller Brown, after completing his military enlistment, returned to school and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of West Florida. While working towards his master’s in fine arts, as part of art history, during the bicentennial of the United States of America in 1976, he was accepted into the “The American Painters in Paris Exhibition” held in Paris, France. After intensive visual arts studies at Memphis State University, he received his Master of Fine Arts degree in 1980. As an artist-educator, he has taught at the university, state, and community college levels. In traveling around the world, he was able to observe first hand other cultures which directly influenced and helped develop his own personal technique and style of art. Today, he is known for his drawings, paintings and sculptures winning awards in all three categories. From sidewalk shows to galleries, his art has been exhibited throughout the United States and Europe.

Since 1971 each Mother’s Day weekend, “Art in the Park”, has been held Saturday (9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.) and Sunday (9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) That is May 7 & 8 this year.

A competitive juried fine arts show for artists and craftspeople from across the southeast. This event is held each spring on the lawn of the Heritage Park in downtown Foley and has grown to attract thousands of attendees. Over 75 artists will be showcasing their talents while providing unique, hand crafted cultural experiences and shopping opportunities.
