With the Fourth of July falling on Monday this year, the Independence Day festivities will be extended with some fireworks shows happening on Saturday and others planned for Monday, weather permitting.
Saturday, July 2nd - Perdido Beach Resort - Independence Day Celebration, 6-11 p.m. with fireworks around 9 p.m.
Perdido Beach Resort will host its annual Fireworks Celebration and Barbeque on Saturday, July 2nd, on the hotel beach decks in Orange Beach.
The annual event includes an all-American beachside barbeque, live music featuring The Mixed Nuts, cash bars, and a star-spangled fireworks show from the beach.
The schedule of events for July 2nd include the following:
- 6 p.m. Mixed Nuts band, seating and barbecue buffet opens
- 9 p.m. Beachside fireworks
- 10 p.m. Mixed Nuts after party

Saturday, July 2nd - OWA in Foley with fireworks at 8:50 p.m.

Monday, July 4th - Flora-Bama - with fireworks (Freedom Run and BBQ on Saturday, July 2nd)
The Flora-Bama 4th of July All-American BBQ Party will be held on Saturday, July 2nd. The day’s events kick off with the 2nd Annual Freedom Run at 8 a.m., a 4-mile run and 1-mile fun run. Monday, July 4th - The Wharf, 5-9 p.m. with fireworks at 8:45 p.m.
The Wharf will host its annual Independence Day Street Party, with fireworks, on Monday, July 4th on Main Street and Marlin Circle in Orange Beach.
There will be family-friendly activities in the Entertainment District including a bubble zone, bounce houses, surf simulator, face painting ($10), camel rides ($5), rock wall, battle zone, DJ Silky, special appearances by Lady Liberty, Uncle Sam and more. The night of festivities will end with the palm trees dancing in patriotic colors and a grand fireworks show, presented by Beachball Properties.

Monday, July 4th - Turquoise Place - Annual J4 Celebration with fireworks at 9 p.m.

Monday, July 4th - Fireworks at Gulf State Park Pier with show starting at 9 p.m.
The City of Gulf Shores will celebrate the Fourth of July with its annual fireworks display from the Gulf State Park Fishing and Education Pier, beginning at 9 p.m. on July 4th.
The timeline of public access to the Gulf State Park Pier is as follows:
Monday, July 4th
- 7 a.m. – The Gulf State Park Pier will close to the public for firework setup.
- 12 p.m. – The pier will reopen to the public 100 feet north of the firework launch site.
- 8:30 p.m. – The Fire Marshal will close the pier and on-site restaurant.
- 9 p.m. – The fireworks show begins.
- 6 a.m. – Pier reopens to the public.
In conjunction with the fireworks display, The Lodge at Gulf State Park is hosting a 4th of July Celebration in the Gulfview Ballroom and Terrace. There will be live music, food, games and a watermelon-eating contest, among other activities. The event will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. The cost is $85 for adults, $44 for kids ages 6-12 and free for children under 5. There is a premium ticket option of $138.
