Arts and Crafts vendors sought for 2nd Annual Orange Beach Freedom Festival this fall

Calling all artists, crafters and food vendors: Applications are being accepted for the 2nd Annual Orange Beach Freedom Festival for Friday, September 30th and Saturday, October 1st at The Wharf. The festival hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The application deadline is approaching. If you are interested, email jfitz@orangebeachal.gov. 

The festival weekend is shaping to be an unforgettable down-home celebration of America and funds will be raised for community organizations, including the Alabama chapter of Folds of Honor, a nonprofit that provides educational scholarships to families of fallen and disabled service members. Some exciting performances will be on tap that weekend including John Rich of Big & Rich on Sunday afternoon. Other performers will be announced soon. You won't want to miss it!  

The overall festival will run from Friday, September 30th to Sunday, October 2nd with the arts & crafts area, a car show - the inaugural fall edition of Bama Coast Cruisin', a concert at the Amphitheatre on Sunday, entertainment on Friday and Saturday, children's activities, food, and more. A few acts lined up for Friday or Saturday include Johnny Hayes, Charlie Argo, and The Krickets.                  

Bama Coast Cruisin'

Bama Coast Cruisin' participants will line Main Street on Friday and Saturday. For those wanting to sign up for this fall car show, visit https://bamacoastcruisin.com/fall/. Register now to get the best spot! 

Let Freedom Roar Run and Rally

On Saturday only, The Marshals - a local Mardi Gras group - will hold the 2nd Annual Let Freedom Roar Run and Rally with a motorcycle and Jeep parade at noon, benefitting Youth-Reach Gulf Coast. The group will stage in the Event Center parking lot and in the marina parking lot and lawn on Saturday morning. Amphitheatre Sunday

On Sunday, October 2nd, a full afternoon of activities, including a special keynote speaker and the John Rich concert, is being planned for the Amphitheatre at The Wharf. Proceeds will go to Folds of Honor. A Friday night concert will be happening at the same time at Amphitheatre as well. Stay tuned for announcements to be made soon. 

Arts & Crafts and Food Vendors

Applications for Crafters and Commercial spaces, as well as food vendor spots, are being accepted for review now. Contact Jeanne Fitzgibbons to receive more details and an application at jfitz@orangebeachal.gov. All vendor fees will benefit Folds of Honor. The weekend will include fundraisers by Makos Academics Arts and Athletics Club (MAAAC), other Orange Beach school groups, and military organizations.
