Columbia Southern University enrolls 15,245 undergrads

At Columbia Southern University, 93 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 63 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private for-profit institution in Orange Beach enrolled 21,104 students in fall 2018, including 15,245 in undergraduate and 5,859 in graduate programs, data shows. 13.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

7 percent of undergraduates are residents of Alabama, and 92 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (51 percent) and Black or African American (17 percent).
